Your mission

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This is a pivotal role combining responsibilities across Group Financial Control, Financial Control, and Tax Compliance, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring rigorous financial oversight across the business. You will be instrumental in driving the integrity of our financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Group Financial Control

• Coordinate with local finance teams and subsidiaries to ensure consistency and accuracy in group reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Develop and implement group-wide financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliations and eliminations.
• Provide financial reporting to management and other stakeholders.

Financial Control

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial data and journal entries.
• Prepare journal entries, manage sales and purchase invoicing processes, and reconcile accounts
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Monitor and improve internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Analyze variances and trends to provide insights for operational efficiency and cost control.
• Manage financial instruments such as guarantees, letter of credits and such.
• Collaborate with business control to support budget planning and forecast process.

Tax Control

• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including VAT, CIT, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Coordinate with group tax director and local authorities during audits or inquiries.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and related filings.

Your Profile

• A bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial control, audit or accounting
• Solid knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control procedures
• Self-starter, able to work independently and effective in collaboration with others and across departments
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Fluent in English; good command of Dutch language is a plus
